De Ferrari 458 Challenge

Vanaf de Ferrari 348 is "Challenge" uitvoering gepresenteerd. Bij de 348 konden klanten een "Challenge Kit" bestellen, waarmee de auto om te bouwen was naar een versie die geschikter gemaakt was voor circuitgebruik. Bij latere modellen leverde Ferrari af fabriek Challenge versies en konden klanten deze modellen rechtstreeks bij de dealer bestellen. Deze modellen waren uitsluitend bedoeld voor het circuit, rijden op de openbare weg was niet mogelijk.

Na de verscheidene succesvolle voorgangers presenteerde Ferrari in 2010 de 458 Challenge, gebaseerd op de 458 Italia die in 2009 werd gepresenteerd. Het vermogen is met 570 PK gelijk aan de 458 Italia, maar door de lichtere materialen werd een grote gewichtsbesparing gecreëerd. Door het lagere gewicht en aangepaste remmen is deze 458 Challenge perfect geschikt voor iedere trackday!
